2025 November Release Notes
This release notes article documents the new features, fixes, validations and new attributes added to Erudus for the month
New Features
Manufacturer Users
- The Erudus HFSS calculator has launched for Manufacturers. This new tool can be used to calculate the HFSS score of a product in line with the FSA’s Nutrient Profiling Model. Links to a blog post announcing the feature and a Knowledge Base article on how to access and use the tool in Erudus can be found below
- When adding additional addresses to a Manufacturer profile via the Manufacturer Dashboard, users can now add contact details for the following contacts that will display on specs along with the address selected for the product in the editor:
- Technical Contact
- Complaints Contact
- Commercial Contact
- Manufacturer users can now populate product lists using the Manufacturer Product Codes of the published products in their product catalogue
- When archiving a product, Manufacturers can now declare a reason as to why the product is being archived. They can select from the following options:
- Error on Specification
- Product Delisted/Discontinued
- Product Replacement
- Seasonal/Promotional Product
Wholesaler Users
- Wholesaler users can now add products to product lists when reviewing products in their product catalogue via the wholesaler dashboard instead of only being able to add products to lists using the product search tools
- A new filter has been added to the Wholesaler product catalogue via the Wholesaler Dashboard. Users can now apply a filter to display products in their catalogue that have been replaced by the Manufacturer using the “Replacement Product” feature
Fixes
All Users
- Some users reported that when applying filters to lists in Erudus and downloading the list as a CSV, the filter was not applied to the download and they did not receive the correct data. This has been resolved and all CSV downloads will download the data with any filters applied
- There have been changes made to the way Erudus handles large CSV downloads because some users were reporting errors. Users should now no longer receive errors when downloading large amounts of data via CSV
Manufacturer Users
- When declaring negligible amounts of nutrients per serving in the product editor, incorrect negligible values were being displayed on the finished specification. This has been resolved and all correct negligible amounts show on spec if negligible amounts have been declared
- Some Manufacturers were getting time out errors when trying to view their brands list in the Manufacturer Dashboard. This has been fixed and Manufacturers will no longer receive time out errors when viewing brands
Wholesaler Users
- Wholesalers were receiving a 500 error when actioning product updates where the Wholesaler product code had special characters in it. This has been resolved and Wholesalers will no longer receive errors when actioning product updates where codes contain special characters
- When reviewing Manufacturer accreditations using the Manufacturer Management options via the Wholesaler Dashboard, accreditations that did not have an expiry date were not being displayed in the table. This has been resolved and all active accreditations will show in the accreditations table
Validations
- A validation has been added that stops Manufacturer users completing the data for the inner pack layer of a product if they have declared there is no inner component present for the product
- The validation for kcal and kj values being within a tolerance of one another has been amended to allow for correct entry of energy values at very low levels
