2026 January Release Notes

This release notes article documents the new features, fixes, validations and new attributes added to Erudus for the month

New Features

Manufacturer Users

  • A new tile has been added to the Manufacturer Dashboard to display the number of Legacy specifications are published to the Manufacturers account. The Knowledge Base article How to update a Legacy Specification has been updated to reflect that the tile on the dashboard will filter your product list by Legacy specification type for ease of identification

  • Manufacturers that have Legacy specifications published to their account will now see a banner at the top of their Manufacturer Dashboard advising them to update legacy specifications with links to a knowledge base guide and their list of legacy specifications

  • A new option has been added to the “Traffic Light Labelling” attribute in the product editor. Manufacturers can now display front of pack traffic light labelling for their product per serving where serving size nutritional information has been provided where previously the only option was per 100g/ml of the product

  • There was an issue where accented letters were not being detected correctly by our validation engine. This caused complications for our allergen exceptions being detected correctly. The validation engine has been updated to accommodate accented letters now

  • The Accreditations list in the product editor has been reordered into different groupings to make individual accreditations easier to identify and select when publishing product specifications. The accreditation groups are:
            • Food Safety and Quality Management
            • Environmental and Sustainability Accreditations
            • Sustainable Seafood and Fisheries
            • Agriculture Livestock and Animal Welfare
            • Dietary Suitability
            • Industry Specific and Specialised Schemes

Fixes

Wholesaler Users

  • When viewing a specification that was associated with a Manufacturer’s brand, only the brand was visible on the specification and not the name of the Manufacturer. This has been fixed and now in instances where a Manufacturer has associated a product with a brand, both the brand and the Manufacturer name will show on the specification

  • There was a temporary issue where Wholesalers were unable to add users. This was resolved and users can be added without issue

Validations

  • Manufacturers that set the “Traffic Light Labelling” attribute to “per serving (as sold)” will have the necessary per serving attributes become mandatory in the product editor to display the traffic lights correctly on the specification
