2025 May Release Notes

This release notes article documents the new features, fixes, validations and new attributes added to Erudus for the month

New Features

All Users

  • When downloading specifications as PDFs, the product status will show on the specification to declare whether the product is published or archived when the PDF was generated

  • The following attributes have been removed from the Erudus schema:

        • Cholesterol per prepared product
        • Trans fats per prepared product
        • Fat % in dry matter per prepared product

Manufacturer Users


  • Nutritional Information has been split across two tabs on both the editor and finished specifications:
            • Nutrition as Sold
            • Nutrition as Prepared

New attributes have been added across these tabs for per serving and per prepared 100 values, which can now be entered by the user. This replaces the automatic calculations that have been in place up until now.


To aid manufacturers in populating this information, new buttons have been added, one on each tab, that will use existing data for per 100 and per prepared 100 to calculate per serving (based on serving size), and per prepared serving (based on prepared product serving size), respectively.

Fixes


All Users


  • There was an issue with safety and warning attributes not showing on published specifications when the attributes had been completed. This has been fixed so now those attributes will show on published specifications when completed

  • There were two separate attributes in Query Builder exports detailing the schema of a product. This has been amended so now there is only one attribute related to the schema for a product on Query Builder exports

Manufacturer Users


  • The “Grading” attribute on Fruit and Vegetable specifications has been moved from the General section of the product editor to the Characteristics section of the product editor

  • The dropdown arrow for the parent allergen categories “Cereals Containing Gluten” and “Tree Nuts” has been removed in the product editor as they can’t be interacted with and are dictated by their sub derivatives declarations

  • When using Quick Search, Manufacturer users were given filter suggestions for other Manufacturers via the “Looking for a Manufacturer” search tool which would not yield any results. This feature has been disabled for Manufacturer users to avoid confusion

  • Manufacturers were receiving a validation error when setting the “No Inner Component Present” attribute to “Yes” on the Drinks specification type. This has been resolved and users can use this attribute without error

Wholesaler Users


  • There was an issue preventing Wholesaler users from uploading large customer purchase histories. This has been resolved and purchase histories can be uploaded without issue

Validations

  • Following the addition of the new per serving nutritional attributes, a validation has been implemented to ensure that the value for “Per Serving” nutritional attributes can’t be rounded higher or lower than the nearest round number after the per serving amount has been calculated
