2025 March Release Notes
This release notes article documents the new features, fixes, validations and new attributes added to Erudus for the month
New Features
Manufacturer Users
- Manufacturer users can now mark alerts received via the Manufacturer Dashboard as unread after reading them
Wholesaler Users
- All filters for a Wholesaler’s product catalogue can be managed using a new filter modal instead of multiple dropdown for different filters on the product catalogue page. The Knowledge Base article "Managing Product Updates" has been updated to reflect this
Fixes
All Users
- Users were receiving 500 errors when using the Query Builder for certain queries. This issue has been identified and resolved. Users will no longer receive 500 errors when using the Query Builder
- There was an issue preventing PDF downloads of large data sets. This has been resolved and PDFs will download without issue
- Drinks and Alcoholic Drink specification types weren’t validating the inner component weight/volume attributes to be mandatory. This has been fixed and now Drinks and Alcoholic Drink specification types require a value entered for either the inner component weight or volume
Validations
- Both the “Allergen Statement on Pack” and “Additional Allergen Information” attributes validate the presence of “May Contain” and “Contains” statements. If a “May Contain” or “Contains” statement is used in either of these attributes then the allergen(s) in those statements must have the same declaration
New Attributes
- “Lactobacillus” has been added as a microbiological standards test for manufacturers to document on their specification, if appropriate, in the “Product Characteristics” section of the product editor
- New origin attributes have been added to the Erudus data model, allowing manufacturers to add more details about the origin of the product and its primary ingredient(s). The new attribute set for food and drink specifications are as follows:
- Product Country of Origin (Mandatory)
- Product Place of Provenance
- Additional Origin Details
- Origin of Primary Ingredient (Mandatory)
- Primary Ingredient Additional Details
Sidebar guidance for completing these attributes is published alongside them to aidmanufacturers and a blog post explaining the changes will be published to promote awareness.
- A new attribute has been added to declare whether a product has been packaged in Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP)
- An attribute has been added to the Drinks and Alcoholic Drinks schemas to declare the product is part of the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS)
- An attribute has been added to the Fish & Seafood schema to allow manufacturers to document the production method of their product. The options for the attribute are:
- Caught at Sea
- Caught in Fresh Water

- A new accreditation attribute has been added to declare a product is accredited by the Roundtable on Responsible Soy (RTRS)
- “Clipstrip” has been added as a waste packaging type in the product editor
