Integration Partners in Erudus

What is an Integration Partner?

An Integration Partner (outside of Erudus) is a company or entity that develops and maintains a direct, systematic connection (an "integration") between their own software, platform, or system and another company's platform or system. This connection allows data or functionality to flow seamlessly between the two systems, creating a more comprehensive solution for mutual users.

Who is an Erudus Integration Partner?

Erudus displays all of our integration partners publicly at - https://erudus.com/integration-partners/

An Erudus Integration Partner is a software provider (e.g., a foodservice ERP system, a recipe management platform, an e-commerce solution, or a nutritional analysis tool) that has built a direct connection to the Erudus data platform. This integration allows their system to seamlessly access and/or utilise the vast amount of product specification data stored within Erudus.

An Erudus Integration Partner's software can "talk" to Erudus, enabling users of the partner's software to pull in detailed product information (allergens, nutritional data, ingredients, technical specifications, etc.) directly from Erudus without manual data entry.

How to become an Erudus Integration Partner and how do they operate?

At Erudus we want to make food data accessible to everyone, which means sharing the information held in our Data Pool as widely as possible - so it reaches all the places and people that need to make use of it. One of the ways we’re doing this is through our software Integration Partnerships.

Our Integration Partners work with thousands of food businesses across the entire supply chain, from leading Manufacturers to niche brands, farmhouse kitchen to Caterers on a national scale and everything in between. We’re adding to our number all the time and welcome any further discussion regarding accessing Erudus data via a mutual partnership.

Integration partners tend to operate in the following manner:

  1. Agreement & Collaboration: The partner company signs an agreement with Erudus and collaborates closely with Erudus's technical team.
  2. API Integration: The core of the partnership involves integrating with the Erudus API. The partner develops code that calls the Erudus API to request and receive specific product data.
  3. Data Flow: Once integrated, a user of the partner's software (e.g., a caterer using a recipe management system) can use the integration partners system to seemlessly utlise accurate up to date product data which that has been validated in Erudus.
  4. Maintenance & Updates: Both Erudus and the partner commit to maintaining the integration, ensuring it remains functional and up-to-date with any changes to the API or data structure.
