Quality Check Notices
This guide will help explain Quality Check notices in the product editor, how they work, and provide guidance on what to do should you encounter one.
What is a Quality Check Notice?
This feature acts as an automated "safety net" within the Product Editor. It cross-references different sections of your product specification, such as the Product Name, Ingredients, and Allergen Attributes, to identify potential inconsistencies before they reach the Wholesaler or end-consumer.
Quality Checks are prompts that trigger when the data entered in the product editor could be incorrect. While Erudus allows for a wide variety of product types, certain combinations of data are more likely to be incorrect.
Unlike validation errors, which will not allow you to publish a specification, a Quality Check notice advises users to review certain attributes before publishing the specification and can be dismissed if the data is correct.
How do Quality Check Notices Work? | Step 1
If a potential discrepancy is detected, a notification will automatically appear next to the attribute that has had the Quality Check applied to it. This notice will not prevent you from publishing a specification, but it serves as a review step to ensure you are confident in the data provided.

How do Quality Check Notices Work? | Step 2
Read the notice and review the data that has been flagged in the notice. If data needs to be changed, just change the attribute, and the notice will disappear. If the data is correct, you can dismiss the Quality Check notice using the "Dismiss" button.

What Attributes Are Quality Checked?
Quality Check notices first launched with a focus on the relationship between Cereals containing Gluten and their declared Concentration levels. However, the Quality Checks framework is designed to be expansive. Over time, further parameters will be introduced to highlight other attributes that may be incorrect, helping you maintain accurate product data at the first point of entry.
