Erudus Amplify
What is Amplify?
This guide will show you how to use the Erudus Amplify feature to identify attributes that can be completed to make your specifications more tailored for use in the public sector
Why should I use Amplify?
Public sector buyers and caterers have specific requirements that they need to adhere to when procuring and serving food. These requirements go beyond what is legally required to be printed on product packaging and the mandatory attributes on an Erudus specification.
Wholesalers tendering for public sector supply often have to solicit additional information from their suppliers to demonstrate that the products they provide meet the requirements for use in the public sector.
Erudus Manufacturers that want to make their product data more compatible for use in a public sector catering setting can use Amplify to highlight attributes on a specification for completion that would be used by public sector buyers and caterers when making purchasing and menu decisions, which ultimately avoids unnecessary administrative requests for additional product information
Quick Overview
Click the Amplify button
Incomplete attributes that are relevant to public sector buying standards for your product will be highlighted for completion
Complete all relevant attributes
Publish the specification as normal
Note: In instances where an attribute has been flagged by Amplify, and it is not relevant to your product, do not complete the attribute.
Erudus Amplify | Step 1
When in the product editor, you can click the "Amplify" button at the top of the screen to enable the Amplify feature

Erudus Amplify | Step 2
Once enabled, Amplify will highlight missing attributes that, if relevant to your product, would make a product specification more compatible for use in the public sector based on relevant buying standards and guidance.
On the "Publish Changes" section of the product editor, the attributes identified by Amplify are grouped by attribute category, and there will be a blue Amplify notice advising which attribute in the group Amplify has identified, with a brief reason as to why

There is a button to the right of each Amplify notice that, when clicked, will take you to the attribute that has been referenced by Amplify for completion

For more detailed information on the guidance that informs the attributes highlighted by Erudus Amplify, you can click the blue question mark (?) tooltip at the end of the message text. This sidebar guidance will have links to the public sector guidance for your perusal should you want to understand more about public sector buying standards as a whole

Erudus Amplify | Step 3
Complete the missing attributes that are relevant to your product. Once completed, the Amplify notification for that attribute will be removed from the publish page and the attribute in the product editor
Note: In instances where an attribute has been flagged by Amplify, and it is not relevant to your product, do not complete the attribute.
Erudus Amplify | Step 4
Once you have completed the attributes highlighted by Amplify that are relevant to your product, you can publish your specification as you normally would by clicking the green "Publish Now" button in the "Publish Changes" section of the Product Editor.
Note: Amplify notifications will not prevent a specification from being published. They are there as guidance for completeness of specifications for public sector compatibility and not mandatory attributes when Amplify is enabled
