How to Archive Products in Bulk
This is a guide that will show you, as a manufacturer in Erudus can now archive products in bulk.
Why would I archive products in bulk?
Archiving products in bulk is a crucial tool for you as a manufacturer in Erudus. It allows you to efficiently manage your product catalogue and ensure the data available to wholesalers and the wider food industry is accurate and up-to-date.
Here are the key reasons why you may want to archive products in bulk:
1. Catalogue Cleanliness and Data Integrity
- Bulk archiving allows you to remove a large number of products that are discontinued, delisted, or have reached the end of their life cycle from your active published catalogue. By hiding old or invalid products, you can significantly reduce the risk of wholesalers and other users accidentally using incorrect, out-of-date, or unavailable product specifications for critical things like allergen checks or menu planning.
2. Managing Product Life Cycles
- Quickly archive all products that are no longer being manufactured, ensuring they are removed from the live data pool instantly (or on a future date you set). These products could be Seasonal/Temporary products that are only sold during specific times of the year (e.g Christmas specials). This keeps the product data preserved for when they are re-released, as archived data is not deleted. It can be unarchived and reactivated later.
