Manufacturer Alerts Overview

This guide will provide an overview of your alert section within your Erudus manufacturing account.

What is an Erudus Alert?

An Erudus alert is a critical notification about an event that requires your attention, usually relating to product data you manage in the Erudus platform. These alerts are essential tools for you as a manufacturer to maintain the accuracy and compliance of your product specifications, which are shared across the food industry supply chain.

Key types of alerts you might receive include:

Product Error Alerts:

  • These are notifications that an end-user (such as a Wholesaler, Caterer, or Retailer) has identified an error or has a query about the data in one of your product specifications.
  • You are then prompted to view the error, respond to the user who submitted it, and resolve the underlying data issue on the product specification.

Accreditation Expiry Alerts:

  • As a manufacturer you are notified when accreditations (like BRCGS certificates) are due to expire or have expired.
  • These alerts serve as a reminder to upload updated documentation to maintain compliance and transparency for your customers and users of Erudus.

Other Potential Alerts:

  • While less frequently detailed, alerts can also be used to inform you as the manufacturer of other data-related issues or system updates, such as changes in attribute requirements or validations that affect your products.
