How to Apply an Accreditation to a Specific Product
This guide will show you how to add an accreditation to one of your products in Erudus. Firstly, ensure the accreditation has been added to your manufacturing account by following the "How to add an Accreditation to your account" guide.
Why do I need to apply an accreditation to a specific product in Erudus?
In Erudus, accreditations are uploaded initially to your manufacturing account; however, to allow your customers and users in Erudus to view these accreditations, they must also be specified at a product level, as not all products are covered by the same accreditation. A manufacturer may have multiple accreditations, but they don't always apply to every single product they produce.
For example:
- A BRCGS-certified factory may produce a wide range of goods, but a new, trial product might not yet be included in the scope of their certification.
- A manufacturer with a Red Tractor accreditation for its meat products will not have that same accreditation for its vegan or fish-based products. The Red Tractor scheme is specific to certain livestock and produce.
- An organic certification only applies to products that meet the specific criteria for organic farming and production. A manufacturer might produce both organic and non-organic products in the same facility.
- A manufacturer with a Kosher accreditation may have a dedicated production line for Kosher-certified products, while the rest of their products are not.
By specifying the accreditation at the product level, you, as the manufacturer, are providing accurate, product-specific data. This is a crucial step for maintaining data integrity and avoiding misleading customers and users in Erudus.
Quick Overview
When creating a new product or editing an existing product in the Erudus product editor.
Select the Accreditations & Certifications tab
Select the relevant accreditation and choose Yes from the drop-down provided.

From the manufacturing dashboard, select Products to either create a new product or edit an existing product. You can apply an accreditation to a product at either the point of initial creation or after the product has been published.

Once you are editing a product using the Erudus product editor, select the Accrediations & Certifications tab which is located down the left hand side of the page as shown in the screenshot, once selected, simply select Yes on the relevant accreditation certification, this will then be visable on the product specifciation once it has been published.

Once the product has been published, the accreditation is visible on the completed product in Erudus as shown below:
