How to Add a Product
This is a guide that will show you how to add a product to your Erudus manufacturing account.
What is a product in Erudus?
A product in Erudus is a completed technical product specification; it's a digital representation of everything that's included with the physical product that consumers may see on a shelf or wholesalers receive a delivery of. Erudus intentionally uses the term "product" instead of "specifications" or "SKUs" for a few key reasons, primarily focused on simplicity and user experience across the entire food supply chain. We believe it makes it clear and removes any industry terminology that others may not be as familiar with.
Quick Overview
When logged into Erudus, viewing the Manufacturing Dashboard.
Select Products.
Select Add Product located at the top right of the webpage.
Complete the presented attributes and proceed through the product editor until complete.

Once logged into Erudus, Select Products as shown in the screenshot below:

The next step would be to select "Add New Product"

Once "Add New Product" has been selected, you will be prompted with a pop-up box to complete some initial information relating to the product. You will see 4 fields present as shown in the screenshot below:
Manufacturer Product Name:
This attribute declares the name of the product and its pack size as it appears on the case.
Some examples include:
Erudus Thai Green Soup Pouch 24 x 300ml
Frozen New York Style Cheesecake - 8inch, 12 cut
Product Name:
This attribute is where you can declare the legal, customary, or descriptive name of the product, excluding brand and pack size.
Specification Type:
This attribute determines which attributes will be presented in the specification editor based on what type of product you are creating a specification for.
Brand Owner:
This attribute assigns the brand owner for the product specification in Erudus. The functionality is utilised when publishing Private Label products.
How to add a Product | Step 4
You will then be presented with the product editor, some of the infomation you've input previously will be pre-populated, simply work through the rest of the product editor to publish your product.
It's important to note that not all attributes are mandatory; you can see which attributes are mandatory within the editor as they are highlighted by an asterisk *
