Downloading Waste Packaging Data

This guide will show you how to download an extract of waste packaging data from your wholesaler product catalog in Erudus.

What is Waste Packaging Data in Erudus?

In Erudus, Waste Packaging Data refers to the detailed information manufacturers provide about the packaging used for their products. This data is crucial because it helps the food industry comply with legal requirements and contributes to sustainability efforts.

This data includes:

Layers and materials: Information on each part of the packaging (e.g., inner component, outer case) and the specific materials (e.g., plastic, cardboard) and their weights.
Recyclability: Whether the packaging is recyclable, reusable, or where it ends up as waste.

Quick Overview

From your Wholesaler Dashboard, select Products.

Select the 3-dot drop-down menu located on the right side of the page.

Select Download Packaging CSV

Once logged into your Erudus Wholesaler Dashboard, in order to download packaging data, you need to first view your products that are within your product catalog. To do this, select Products as shown in the screenshot below:

Once you are able to see an overview of some of the products within your catalog, select the drop-down to provide you with further options. Within this drop-down down select Download Packaging CSV, which will begin to download an extract of all the packaging data published against products in your catalog. As shown in the screenshot below:

Please note: Waste Packaging Data is not a mandatory attribute for manufacturers to complete when uploading a product in Erudus, as such, the volume of data available will vary.
