Responding to a Product Error

This guide will show you how to respond to Product Error Alerts that have been raised against one or more of your product specifications.


What is a Product Error?

Product Errors are a helpful tool within Erudus that enables effective two-way communication between you as the manufacturer of a product and the end user of the product data, this could be a direct customer of yours or another end consumer of your product that has a query about the data in Erudus. Product Errors should only be used if there are any queries, concerns, or errors that have been identified with the data in Erudus.


Quick Overview

Access Erudus and view the Manufacturer Dashboard.

Select the heading Product Errors.

Locate the relevant Product Error.

Select View/Respond, and once a response has been drafted, select send.

If you're happy, there will be no further queries raised; you mark it as resolved.


Responding to Product Error | Step 1

On your manufacturer dashboard, you will have visibility of any outstanding Product Error Alerts, and you can review them by clicking on the "Product Errors" counter on the dashboard or by clicking the "Product Errors" button at the top of the page.


Responding to Product Error Alerts | Step 2

You will then be taken to the product error list, where you can view the specification if necessary, and when you are ready to respond, click the "View/Respond" button at the end of the row for the alert.


Responding to Product Error Alerts | Step 3

Simply send a response to the user who submitted the error using the text box and then click the "Add Reply" button beneath it. This will then send a notification to the user with your response.

When the reported issue has been resolved, you can use the yellow "Mark Resolved" button to remove the alert from your manufacturer dashboard and notify the user who submitted the error that the issue has been dealt with.
