Publishing a Private Label product

This is a guide to help explain how to publish a product for a Private Label in Erudus.

What is a Private Label in Erudus?

The Erudus Private Label feature is a tool within the Erudus platform designed to help food businesses manage and share information specifically about their own-brand or "private label" products.

In Erudus, we allow manufacturers the ability to publish products specifically against a private label; these products are not visible to the wider Erudus datapool and are then reviewed and approved by the label owners.

Quick Overview

You can select the relevant private label that a product should be published against when first creating a product. You do this by using the drop-down under Brand Owner. There is also the ability to select the Private Label under Brand Owner of the Product editor, which is found within the General section.

Creating a product for a Private Label

In order to create a new product you first would navigate to your "Products" within the Manufacturing Dashboard, here you will find the option to select Add New Product, once selected you will be prompted with the option of completing a few initial fields and selecting the Brand Owner, by default this will be set to "Manufactuers Own" this will need to be changed to the relevent Private Label's name in Erudus.

(If you are uncertain of what the correct Private Label name is, please reach out to our support team for further confirmation at support@erudus.com)

Once a product has been completed and you have selected to publish the product, you may notice that the product does not say "Published" but instead states "Pending".

The product will remain pending until it has been reviewed and approved by the Label owner. Once approved, you will see this product appear within your Published products tab.

The product is then fully published and visible to the Private Label members exclusively.
