Approving a Private Label product

This guide will show you how to approve products that are pending publication for your private label.

Why do I need to approve a Private Label product?

As a Private Label owner, Erudus allows you to centralise your own-brand product information, which can then be easily shared with your label members. Erudus's Private Label functionality allows you to review and approve products to ensure they meet the requirements and criteria you set for your own label products.

When a manufacturer publishes a product under a private label within Erudus, the product will enter a pending state until it is approved by the private label owner.

Quick Overview

When logged into the Label Dashboard, select Pending products and apply a code in order to approve and publish the product. Once this has been done, the product will be visible to any Private Label member in Erudus.

Approving a Private Label Product | Step 1

From your label dashboard, you will be presented with a notification as to how many new pending products are awaiting approval. To be taken to the list of these products, just click the green "View Pending Products" button in the notification.

Approving a Private Label Product | Step 2

You will be taken to a list of products that are published under your private label. To approve a product for publication, you will need to apply your Private Label Product Code to the product. You can do this by clicking the "Add Code" button at the end of the row for the product you wish to publish.

Approving a Private Label Product | Step 3

You will then be taken to the pending product specification to review the data that has been submitted. If you are happy with the specification, you can add your Label Product Code to the product at the top of the page and click the green "Submit" button.

Once the code has been applied to the product, it will enter a published state and will be available in the data pool for any wholesalers that have access to your private label.

If the product specification data is incorrect, then contact the manufacturer to have the specification amended before publication
