Adding a Wholesaler Product Code to a Product

This guide will show you how to manually add a wholesaler local code to a product in the Erudus data pool and how to apply codes to older versions of products.

Please note: Only Admin users of a Wholesaler account can manage local codes on the account

Adding a Wholesaler Product Code to a Product | Step 1

From the Wholesaler Dashboard, click the "Product Search" button at the top of the page.

Adding a Wholesaler Product Code to a Product | Step 2

In the Quick Search tool, you can search for the product you want to apply a Wholesaler Product Code to by entering into the search bar either:

  • The product's inner or outer GTIN
  • The manufacturer's Product Code
  • The Erudus ID of the product
  • Your Wholesaler Product Code (if one is already applied)
  • The product name

Also, make sure the checkbox to only search for products already in your range is checked or unchecked depending on your search preference.

Adding a Wholesaler Product Code to a Product | Step 3

Once you have found the product you are looking for, click on the product name to be taken to the specification.

You will find the Product Codes area at the top of the page for the specification and you can use the plus (+) icons to add Wholesaler product codes to the Outer Product (Case) or the Inner Component for the product depending on whether you sell the product by the case or if the case can be split and sold individually.

You can add multiple codes to either the Outer or the Inner if necessary

Adding a Wholesaler Product Code to a Product | Step 4

These next steps will show you how to add a Wholesaler Product Code to an older version of a specification

If you need to apply a code to an older version of a specification, click the "History" button to open the product history and you can click on a product's version number to be taken to that version of the product specification.

Adding a Wholesaler Product Code to a Product | Step 5

When you have found the version of the specification that you want to apply your Wholesaler Product Code, just repeat the process from step 3 and the codes you apply will be applied to the older version you are viewing.

As you can see in the image above, we have now applied different codes to different versions of the same product.
